About the
Sri Sathya Sai Trust Tamilnadu

The Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Tamil Nadu was established by Bhagawan SRI SATHYA SAI BABA over fifty years ago, on 8th February 1973 as a public charitable trust. The Sri Sathya Central Trust which is the apex body overseeing the activities of the Sri Sathya Sai Organization, had been established only 6 months earlier in 1972 – making the Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Tamil Nadu one of the earliest state-specific Trusts to be established by HIM.

The deed of the Trust states that it was established, “for the social amelioration of the inhabitants of India, and more particularly in Tamil Nadu state, irrespective of caste and creed”, and we are most fortunate that Swami was Himself the sole Trustee of the Trust for many years.

Like the Tamil Nadu trust, Swami established separate and independent Trusts at the state level. These trusts work in unison with the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust to implement the Divine command to serve humanity – Love All, Serve All.

The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Tamil Nadu with lakhs of active volunteers in every part of the state, is the body that serves the needy. The role of the Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Tamil Nadu is to provide active guidance to the organisation, manage assets and provide required finances to support the Seva activities of the organisation.

The Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Tamil Nadu is currently managed by a board consisting of nine Trustees.
